If you’re a sucker for a five-star resort, Anguilla is the spot for you. The island is home to some of the Caribbean’s best boutique luxury hotels, like the ultra-fabulous Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel. This place is a picture-perfect island escape featuring luxury island villas, world-class dining, and vibrant views of the Caribbean Sea.

On the other side of the island, there’s the magnificent Malliohana, Auberge Resorts Collection. It’s a romantic little spot on its own private cove, so you can expect spacious accommodations, amazing island hospitality, and a totally zen spa. Plus, there’s a cascading infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Cheers to that!

Where Are the Best Beaches?

Fun fact: Anguilla is only 39 square miles. But don’t let its size fool you–there are 33 amazing beaches on the island! And best of all, all the beaches in Anguilla are public, so it’s the perfect place for beach hopping.

Rendezvous Bay Beach lies on Anguilla’s southwest coast and boasts gorgeous views of neighboring St. Martin. Cove Bay Beach is a tranquil beauty perfect for True Beach Lovers who want to unplug and chill out. There are tons of secluded beaches to hop around to, but if you’re looking for a little action, check out Sandy Ground Beach. This strand of sand features vendors selling food and drinks, anchored sailboats and yachts and tons of entertainment.

What’s the Bar Scene Like?

Barefoot beach bars are the name of the game in Anguilla. You won’t find any wild club-like nightlife (take the ferry to St. Martin if that’s your vibe), instead you’ll find fruity cocktail concoctions, live music and chill vibes! Uncle Ernie’s is a classic and must-visit when on the island. Named after Ernest Hemingway, this little blue shack sits on Shoal Bay Beach and offers fresh seafood, great BBQ and delicious drinks. Try the rum punch–it’s paradise in a cup!
