Benefits of Adding Transfers Before You Travel

January 29, 2020 0 Comments

Vacay time is finally here! We know you’re ready to soak up the sun and spend the day sipping piña coladas, but there are a few more things to consider before jetting off to your tropical destination–one being transfers. Often a step overlooked in the booking process, transfers from the airport to the resort and back will make your travel as smooth as possible and here’s why.

You’ll have guaranteed reliable transportation.

Most people think they can take a taxi or Uber to their resort after they land; however, this isn’t the most dependable (or safest) transportation option available. A lot can go wrong when you leave transportation to the last minute, and you definitely don’t want to start your vacay stressed. We work with the best transfer companies in all of our destinations, including Amstar, who has been in business for 30 years! When booking transfers through us before travel, you won’t have to worry about overspending, crowded vehicles or a language barrier with your driver. Your transfer provider will even know if your flight time changes or gets delayed, so you can walk through the airport with ease knowing that you’re taken care of no matter what.

Renting a car comes with its own set of craziness.

While renting a car seems like a safe bet, it can be pretty complicated. In most cases, renting a car internationally requires an international driver’s license, with Mexico, Jamaica and Panama being the only exceptions. On top of this, many foreign car rentals can’t be covered by insurance without having an international driver’s license. If you go to a country where you’re able to rent a car without an international driver’s license, be aware of driving on the left-hand side of the road. Destinations like Jamaica, the Bahamas, Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia and others all drive on the left side, and we’ll admit it’s not the easiest skill to pick up if you’re not used to it. Resorts also typically charge for parking, which ends up costing the same as the transfer itself would cost upfront.

Your mind will be at ease going into vacay.

At the end of the day, adding transfers will make prepping for your escape painless. It’s one less thing you’ll have to worry about as you’re ready to hit the beach when you land (and when you’re ready to come home). Stepping off the plane and going through customs can be overwhelming in itself, so having your transfers set in place will make your life easier.

Adding transfers to your trip is a seamless part of the booking process, but there’s still time to add them to your package even if you already skipped that option at checkout. All you have to do is call us at 1-800-915-BEACH (2322) and an agent will be able to walk you through the process.

All I really need in this life is the beach and a little bit of ice cream.
