No real beach
The sales people to get you to sit for a 90 presentation was insane!! It starts at the airport and continues at the hotel and they are relentless our 1st night was horrible the food at the patio was mediocre at best the our service was the worst we’ve ever had anywhere! It finally got better day 2 the food at world cafe was good best food was oceana and portfino was the best!! Sea side grill was good only issue is they have these rodents that walk around waiting for you to drop food and I was not okay with that!! The only reason the got the 3 stars is best the spa was amazing Mariam and Juliette did our couples massage and they are the best!! Also the tours offered by amstar(Daniel) where great and the employees in lobby like Jesus one of the best there!! They would have got 4 star but there isn’t a real beach this resort is more like a marina style and they should make guest aware if that before booking

Dreams review
Excellent resort, beautiful bar. Roman and Julio were the life of the entertainment. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely try the Asian restaurant and the spicy margaritas. Will come back for another visit

Great Experience
Everything was superb. We have already booked a Dreams Resort holiday in Corfu for September. Went Preferred Club, not sure we needed to but gave us option of an extra pool and restaurant. Staff were top class.

My stay at Dreams Puerto Aventura
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I am especially grateful towards the Entertainment staff, as they really put a lot of effort in so that you have as much fun as you can while you are there. First and foremost, I’d like to thank Julio, who always invited me to go to the activities with him and with whom I could play pickleball or ping pong for hours. Additionally, I’m grateful towards Luis, who taught me how to play pickleball in the first place and was a really tough opponent. Finally, I’d like to thank Jazmin and Roman for all of the fun I had with them throughout the activities. Overall, it was a great experience that I definitely recommend to anyone that’s planning on visiting this area.

Our stay was truly a Dream.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Dreams Puetro Aventuras this past April, our stay was truly a dream. The staff in all departments were absolutely fantastic ( in particular Julian, Jorge, Jacquline, Nicodermo in the World cafe and Bradley, Lisette, Jorge in the restaurants, in the lobby Valery and Dinae, and I can’t recall their names but the guys who helped with baggage and taxis. Those are the people whose names I remember but seriously everyone we interacted with couldn’t do enough for us and were so nice and professional. The facilities are very nice, clean and comfortable. We had a marina view room and it had a nice porch with views of the dolphin exhibit, marina and sunset. Room service always left our suite spot less and any additionally requests were promptly responded to (e.g. extra towels). For the resort itself, we really enjoyed the location, size and amenities. We found it to be an all inclusive resort that didn’t seem like a copy cat of all the others and it wasn’t overly developed. The beach is a little small and is protected by jetties but that keeps the water calmer on windy/stormy days and less sargassum. You can walk to other more open beaches within Puerto Aventuras. The Puerto Aventuras community is a gated “Colony” with a few hotels, residential houses and rentals. The area includes shopping, restaurants and marina with tour boat companies. This was our first visit to Mexico and having never been we were a bit nervous about personal safety. We felt really safe there and enjoyed exploring, the resort staff kept tabs on our comings and goings and so did security at the entrance of Puerto Aventuras. I would say it is most foreigners who live in the community. We also really loved the spa, make sure you haggle for the best price on spa treatments—don’t settle for the listed price. We also loved the breakfast and lunch buffets and poolside lunches. Things we wished were a little different. We were offered one free excursion to Tulum that first entailed us sitting around for an almost two hour sales pitch for a wildly expensive vacation club membership. We knew they were trying to sell us stuff but figured the free tickets to the Tulum Ruins would be worth it. It was not, avoid the offers from the the Dreams VIP staff. They were also offered a shopping trip to Playa Del Carmen which we heard from other guests including aggressive sales pitching as well. While the breakfast and lunch service was fantastic, we personally found the dinner options a little limited for our tastes. We wished they had more locally inspired dishes (I really don’t want to eat Italian food while in Mexico) plus some of the dishes were a little weird (shrimp soup?). We still managed to find dishes that we liked or asked if there were any substitutions available, which was always accommodated. Getting a covered beach chair was a little bit of a competition on busy days, it would be nice if they had a few more umbrellas. All in all the parts that we wished were different didn’t really detract from the overall experience and we can’t wait to be back at Dreams Puerto Aventuras.
