10 Reasons You Should Absolutely Go on Your Friends’ Caribbean Vacay

April 30, 2018 0 Comments

You’re a hard one to get to commit. You sit back and say nothing until the very last minute. But trust us, you won’t want to miss this girls trip to the Caribbean. This list will have you RSVPing “yes!” from the moment the trip starts getting planned.

1. Sand
Digging your feet and toes into soft sand is intrinsically wonderful. Not wearing shoes is good for the soul. You are close to the earth, to nature. Walking on the sand is also a good form of exercise, good for the shins.

2. Bonding Time
You and your friends will come back more bonded than ever with stories that will be retold for years to come.

3. Beach Beauty
At the beach, the fauna is prolific and best of all, mostly friendly. Think dolphins, sea turtles and toucans. You have a lot of freedom for activities (biking, zip lining, ATVs, walking or running without slipping on ice and cracking your elbow).

4. Water
Contemplating by the water feeds the soul. The expansive view of the ocean water, often referred to as “blue space” by psychologists, actually calms our mind.

5. Fresh Air
Most of us work in an office setting with fluorescent lighting. At least half of us never make it away from our desk at lunch. Do the scary math in your head. That’s a whole lotta time without fresh air.

6. What Goes Around Comes Around
When you do finally get around to planning something for yourself, you’d like people to join the fun. So first, you have to show up to theirs.

7. Beach Wear
At the beach, all you need is one, maybe two pieces of lightweight clothing, and a towel, maybe a beach bag, is all that’s required.

8. Rest & Relax
The beach gives you the gift of total relaxation. This true sense of relaxation brings us all back to our lives with a renewed sense of purpose and a decluttered mind.

9. Technology Detox
You hate group messages and, from what we know, you often silence them. So this trip is the perfect excuse to put committing to anything else on hold.

10. Life is Short
You know this cliché, but here’s the thing: Clichés exist because they’re true. Do yourself a favor and soak in the sun ‘n surf and make some memories.
